Disaster Relief Effort to Nepal Chaired by ABPM Executive Director
Dr. Marc A. Benard is the current Chair for Disaster Relief for Rotary International’s District 5280, which is composed of 63 clubs. Dr. Benard and the district are currently mobilizing their disaster relief effort to handle both monetary donations and donations-in-kind to this devastated area of Nepal.
No stranger to international humanitarian service, Dr. Benard (Co-Director of the Baja Project for Crippled Children/Operation Footprint) organized his Rotary district’s disaster relief effort to the Philippines in late 2013 and 2014, where 500,000 people were victims of Typhoon Yolanda. With the economic assistance of his Rotary district, a co-venture with Help The Children and The Peace Project resulted in over 40 homes constructed on northern Cebu Island.
Dr. Benard is the current Executive Director of ABPM and has been a board certified diplomate since 1982.
