Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Inducts Two ABPM Diplomates
On June 8, APMA Board of Trustee Dr. Laura Pickard and APMA Past President Dr. Frank Spinosa were inducted into the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons at the University of Glasgow, UK. They are now recognized as Fellows of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine FFPM RCPS (Glasg). The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Matt Garoufalis, APMA Past President who was inducted into the Fellowship last year.
Other inductees included Drs. Bradley Sonnema from Edmonton, Canada, Benjamin Lipsky from Oxford, and Andrew Van Essen from Australia. Dr. Natalie Roe of North London was also inducted as a member of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine. The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow was established in 1599 and includes 5 divisions: surgery, medicine, dentistry, travel medicine, and podiatric medicine.
Drs, Matt Garoufalis, Laura Pickard, and Frank Espinosa are all certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Laura Pickard, DPM became certified in 1995, Frank Spinosa, DPM became ceritified in 1988 and Matt Garoufalis, DPM became certified in 1987.
