In January, The Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA) approved the formation of cycling Team FPMA in order to raise money and tighten bonds with the Florida Chapter of the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Nine Florida podiatrists, friends, and family were included in the inaugural Team FPMA, cycling either 25 or 63 mile courses during the ADA’s Tour de Cure fundraising event on Sunday March 26th. The team raised $7,000 for the ADA over the last two months.

Team Captain, Robert A. Iannacone, DPM, an avid cyclist from Port St. Lucie, FL said, “It was a beautiful day for a ride. If you weren’t having fun, you were doing it wrong. Most importantly, everyone finished safely and raised money for the ADA.”

ABPM Diplomates included on the FPMA cycling team are Drs. John Coleman, Robert Iannocone and Samir Vakil.
