Drs. Lee Rogers and Lawrence Lavery implemented the first multidisciplinary surgical limb salvage clinic in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With 1 in 4 Saudis having diabetes, the prevalence is one of the highest in the world. Foot complications and amputations are commonplace due to the lack of organized care and cultural factors.

The Kahel Specialty Clinic in Riyadh will build on the successful practice of American limb salvage centers. Drs. Rogers and Lavery provided training, set clinical best-practice pathways, and a process of quality assurance and performance improvement to help reduce the plague of limb loss in the Kingdom.

Lee Rogers, DPM has been board certified with the ABPM since 2008.
