NSU College of Allopathic Medicine Appoints Dr. Leonard Levy to Curriculum Committee
Leonard A. Levy, DPM, MPH, Professor Emeritus and retiring Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the College of Osteopathic Medicine of Nova Southeastern University (NSU), was appointed to the Curriculum Committee in the new College of Allopathic Medicine. The school is scheduled to enroll a class of 50 first-year students, possibly as early as 2018, studying for the MD degree at NSU College of Allopathic Medicine, pending Preliminary Approval by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
LCME accredits schools granting an MD nationwide. This appointment represents the first time a podiatric physician has been named to serve on a curriculum committee designed to develop a program for a new allopathic medical school. The NSU College of Allopathic Medicine will be the eighth school in Florida granting an MD.
Dr. Leonard Levy has been board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine since 1993
