In-Training Examination

The next In-training examinations are being administered:

For PGY 1 and 2: February 17-29, 2020
For PGY 3 and 4: February 6, 2020

We are improving the In-training examination tool by adding clinical cases to our didactic exams. The exam includes the following subject areas:

  • Podiatric Medicine
  • Medical Imaging
  • Pathology
  • Public Health
  • Internal Medicine and Medical Subspecialties
  • Wound Care
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Anesthesiology
  • Podiatric Surgery
  • General Surgery and Subspecialties

FAQ for In-Training Examinations

Collectively, they address the subject matter included in the current CPME 320 document as it pertains to the specialty of podiatric orthopedics and primary podiatric medicine.

The examination is administered on a voluntary basis as an external assessment tool for all current residents and can be used at the residents' discretion as they prepare for the ABPM board qualification examination.

The In-training examination will be offered at Pearson VUE testing centers nationally. Appointment times and locations are based upon availability at the time of scheduling. Applicants will receive instructions on how to book their appointments about 6-8 weeks before the exam date.
